GeekLink Member Statuses

Hello! The latest GeekLink update isn't a big one, but I decided to talk about it briefly in a separate blog post nonetheless.

Yesterday, all members were given the option to set statuses, which are displayed under their names. I think everyone is familiar with this feature from various other social networks, so how to use it is left to the discretion of the members.

Below, I will provide a few template options.

What can a recruiter write in their GeekLink status?

Recruiters and HR specialists can indicate their position and the name of the company they work for.

In the status, you can also highlight “urgent” job vacancies, for example, “Urgently looking for a Middle Python developer”.

What can a specialist write in their GeekLink status?

Typical statuses such as “Looking for work”, “Open to offers”, “Open for new opportunities” can be used by specialists actively seeking employment.

If an employee is considering changing jobs but doesn't want to openly express this, they can simply indicate their current place and position.

Where else is the status used?

In addition to being displayed in the user's profile, the content of the status can also be used in member searches.

What cannot be posted in the status? Insults, obscene language, prohibited topics. Contact details. Links.

Violation of these rules may result in the member's account being blocked.
